It’s spring, and it’s time to give your shrubs a spring feed.

There are fertilizers and there are fertilizers; some give your plants a quick fix and then disappear soon after you applied them, other fertilizers take ages to break down and release their nutrients, meaning your plant is always playing catch-up to produce new shoots and flowers. Then there is Roots® MYCOspikes™

For healthy trees and shrubs you want an easy to apply total feeding solution. Roots® MYCOspikes™ provides the answer.

Incorporating the essential macro and micro nutrients plants require for good health and growth, MYCOspikes™ releases the nutrients over a period of up to 12 months thanks to its special binders.

As well as the essential nutrients MYCOspikes™ also combines 19 different strains of mycorrhiza with Roots proven biostimulent complex. The mycorrhiza enhances the plants uptake of the nutrients in the rhizosphere; the region that surrounds the plants roots.

The big advantage of the MYCOspikes™ is that they won’t wash away like a surface application of fertilizer can, you just press them into the ground until they are 5 cm below the surface, then cover the hole and leave the spike to slowly release its nutrients and compounds.

General directions for use:

• Apply either at planting or around existing trees and shrubs.
• Reapply in spring each year.
  
• For trunk with diameter > 45 cm use two spikes for every 5 cm of diameter.
  
• Place spikes into moist soil, evenly spaced around the dripline and never closer than 60cm from base of trunk.
  
• Hammer spikes into ground using plastic pounding caps.
  
• Remove cap and pound at least 5 more cm into ground.
  
• Heel the holes closed.
